2. Technologies currently expected on this website
| Name or category | Purpose | Type | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| WordPress administration and login cookies | Authenticate authorised administrators and protect administrative sessions. These normally affect only users who log in to WordPress. | Strictly necessary | Session or WordPress-defined period |
| WordPress test cookie | Checks whether a browser accepts cookies on the WordPress login screen. | Strictly necessary | Session |
ish_optional_consent_v1 | Stores a visitor’s accept or reject choice for optional technologies when the optional-cookie control is enabled. | Preference/local storage | Up to 180 days |
| Security and server logs | Detect abuse, investigate errors and protect the website. Server logs are not normally browser cookies. | Strictly necessary operational record | Normally up to 90 days |
The contact form uses a security nonce in the page and a short-lived server-side rate-limit record. These controls are designed to prevent abuse and are not used for advertising.
Back to top ↑3. Optional analytics, media and marketing technologies
Analytics, advertising, embedded maps, video players, social-media content or chat tools may introduce additional cookies or data transfers. They must not be enabled until:
- the exact providers, purposes, cookie names and retention periods are recorded;
- non-essential technologies are blocked before a valid choice;
- accept and reject choices are equally accessible;
- withdrawal is as easy as giving consent;
- the Privacy Policy and this Cookie Policy are updated.
4. Your choices
Where optional technologies are enabled, a preference panel will allow you to accept or reject them. You can revisit the panel using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Rejecting optional technologies will not prevent access to the main website.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser. Browser settings differ, and blocking all cookies may affect login, security or other necessary functions.
Back to top ↑5. Third-party websites and content
Links to external websites do not place their cookies merely because a link is shown. If third-party content is embedded or you follow an external link, the other provider’s privacy and cookie practices will apply.
Back to top ↑6. Cookie audits and changes
The site administrator should repeat a cookie and storage audit whenever WordPress, plugins, analytics, embedded services or advertising tools change. Questions may be sent through our info@ishlondontradingtech.co.uk or our online enquiry form.
